Three very experienced professionals in the offset printing world started Green Leaves Press LLC in 2009. They have over 40 years experience in providing high quality finished, on time projects. All three professionals were looking to find a way to provide a low cost alternative to the high cost of environmentally safe printed products. At the same time providing a resource that was purely environmentally sound, not just something done inside of a non-safe normal production mix.
They started by listening to those that were as passionate about the environment as they were, and needed to show themselves professionally on paper, so they developed Green Leaves Press.
Green leaves Press is currently located in the Great City of North Salt Lake in Utah, the space that we rent will be replaced in the near future by a totally environmentally sound custom built facility, but for now:
The facility we are in is 100% renewable source powered through a partnership with Blue Sky.
The Facility we are in has a '0' Landfill policy, everything brought in the building leaves to be recycled.
The facility paper recycling is sent out to be mulched into insulation, thus avoiding any chance of being recycled irresponsibly using chlorine or bleach.
The facility uses all environmentally safe chemicals, and regenerates and reuses all chemicals that can be.
Our inks are all Vegetable oil based, not petroleum based. Most are even 100% Vegetable oil based. Soy ink is also available for those that need a soy option.
We only use papers that have recycled content and/or certified safe for the environment. Our house paper is made with 100% POST CONSUMER WASTE fibers, and choices available with 50% POST CONSUMER WASTE fiber and the other 50% alternative fibers (Bamboo and Baggass). We also offer less expensive versions of environmentally safe paper, but recommend using the house papers.
Green Leaves Press provides the most responsible product possible, without excuses or long-winded reasoning, and to simply provide products for less money to help move the need for environmentally safe printing into the right direction.
